Caldarium
A steam bath at a medium heat of around 45°C. Essential oils added to the steam open up the sinuses and aid breathing. Also suitable for loosening stressed muscles.

Callanetics
A system of low-impact exercises developed by Callan Pinckney involving frequent repetition of small muscular movements and squeezes which put less stress on the spine and joints. Designed to improve muscle tone.

Chakra
Means 'wheel' in Sanskrit. According to the teachings of Indian medicine, the body consists of flowing energies. The Chakras are the seven main centres, where the energy circles correlate to certain organs.

Chi Yang
According to Asian healing, energy flows through the body along predetermined meridians. Regulating these meridians results in re-establishing a harmonious balance and deep relaxation.

Clay / Kaolin
Used in Packs or Masks; Natural compounds rich in aluminium which retain warmth well and stimulate blood circulation, allowing active ingredients applied beneath to penetrate the skin more effectively.

Cleopatras Bath
Cleopatra was said to have maintained her alluring beauty by bathing in donkey milk.

Colour Energy Bath
A bathing treatment which utilizes the advantageous effect of colour on the mind. Special colour mixes may produce special moods and activate energy.

Colour Therapy
Also known as light therapy, colorology or chromo therapy. Colours of the visible spectrum are used to harmonise, balance and soothe the mind and body.

Connective tissue massage
Deep intensive massage aimed at relaxing tense muscles. Manipulation of the reflexology zones harmonizes the functions of the inner organs.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy
A manual therapy that involves a gentle, non-invasive palpation of the head, spinal column and sacrum to reduce physical and psychological tensions.
